Lightning Dreamwork Process

I learned the Lightning Dreamwork process from active dreamer Robert Moss. Lightning Dreamwork is a quick and powerful way to share dreams, distill their energy, and receive guidance to honor them. Here is a summary of the process:

  1. Tell the Dream Give the dream a title. Tell the dream simply and in the present tense. Leave out any background or explanatory information.

  2. Answer Some Questions How did you feel when you woke up? Initial emotional reactions are vital guidance. How does the dream reflect waking life? This could include people or situations either past, present, or future. What do you want to know from the dream? This helps dreamers clarify their intentions.

  3. Get Feedback I can then give feedback, always using the phrase “If it were my dream…” No one can or should tell you what your dreams mean (only you can know that!). This allows the listener to offer associations, feelings, or intuitions they may have about the dream without taking the power away from you, the dreamer.

  4. Honor the Dream Dreams require action! If we do not do something with our dreams in waking life, the magic dissipates and deep opportunities are missed. I will help you come up with a plan to honor your dream. The rest is up to you!

In 2016 my brother, Tim, was riding his horse when lightning struck and killed them both. Tim was a cowboy, a poet, and a mystic. He and I often played the Lightning Dreamwork game as we were both prolific dreamers. At his funeral I recognized the scene as a recurring dream I had been having for years. In the dreams I sat on the front row and everyone I knew seemed to be there. I never noticed the one person in my life who was not there, my brother. I created this website to honor those dreams.

Dreams come, dreams go.

Sometimes asleep, sometimes awake.

I am not afraid of this moving on.
